The search for more
In October 2020, I took two weeks off work. I was burnt out and looking forward to taking a break. The first few days were fun, no plans – just relaxing. Then I started feeling sad. I realized there wasn’t really anything else I do, other than work. All I do is work. I love what I do, but there needs to be something else in my life.
So I’m really digging deep to figure myself out, and I’m sharing the journey on this site. Everything.
I am hoping that when someone reads this, it can inspire or help them in their life. I’m not doing this to become an influencer or make money. I’m doing this to tell myself (and you) that I can still be happy by enjoying each day and keeping life simple.
The time is now.
Some of the most important work I’ve done on myself is to build a brand foundation. It’s a brief statement of why I exist, where I’m going, and what I’m doing every day to get there.
Working, for more than 15 years now, has made me who I am. It’s helped me realize what I’m capable of. It’s helped me realize that life is a lot simpler than we think it is.
Here’s the simplest part of all: The time is now.

About Shaleen
I quit alcohol, got my financial house in order, rebuilt my relationship with my family, cut out all the negative people, and worked hard by continuing my education, getting therapy and counselling, meditating and reading lots of books.
I have found that if I stay focused and consistent, inspiration will come.
